+ Open-air dancing in Kensington Gardens with London RSCDS – Sat 16th, 23rd, 30th August 2014, 2-4pm, Kensington Gardens, London
- To music from Ian Robertson and the Musicians. More information here. + The London Branch of the RSCDS organizes open air + dancing (for free!) in Kensington Gardens on Saturday + afternoons in August. This is basically ceilidh dancing, designed for + non-dancers, and very accessible. It is a lovely setting and a fun + occasion. No refreshments are provided but you can bring your own.

- This will be a very jolly evening. We'll dance the dances we've been learning in the Tuesday classes this term. Wednesday classes will be open to all in 6th and 7th Week, where we'll be covering the trickier dances on the programme.

- Oxford will be entering a team for this - get in touch if you're - interested in going! + This will be a jolly start to the dancing year. Helen will be + taking us through the dances: walking them through and calling + them. No experience needed. Light-weight shoes/pumps/trainers + recommended.
+Open to all, not just freshers.

- RSCDS Summer School – Sun 20th July-Sat 17th August 2014, St Andrews

+ RSCDS Oxfordshire Ball – Sat 25th October 2014, 7.30pm-11.45pm, Headington School, Oxford
- This is an excellent course with first rate teachers and musicians, and jolly good beaches and a sea to paddle in.
- Most people go for a week (OUSDS usually aim for 2nd week - 27th July - 3rd Aug), and it's great fun (and improves your
- dancing too!). There are classes during the day at every level with wonderful teachers
- and musicians, and dancing every night (plus after-party dancing too), with people from
- all over the world, in sunny St Andrews. Plus beautiful beaches and amazing ice-cream, if
- you need any further incentive!
